Language Arts: Persuasive Five Paragraph Essay: Space Shuttle Mission. Due: Monday morning, November 5.
Prompt: Write a five paragraph essay convincing your principal that you
should be the student chosen to represent your school on the next space
shuttle mission. Students should have their first four paragraphs typed. If not, they are behind and will need to work on their essay at home. Parents: Have your student read to you out loud what they have written. This is the best way to help students figure out what they need to do to improve their writing.
DOL Sentences #3-4 Due: 10/25. Preposition Quiz on #1-11 on Monday, October 29.
Writing Lab: Mrs. Packard has bus duty after school this week and will not be able to have the writing lab at that time. The writing lab will be during lunch recess from 12:45-1:15 on Monday-Thursday.
Math: All make-up work due Oct. 30. Students took a math test in class today.
Science: "BrainPop-Cells"
due tomorrow Oct. 25. Take Cornell notes on pg. 1 of your Microbiology
section of your science notebook. Write your question after clicking

PTA Reflections Contest:
This is not required of all sixth grade students. It is only for those
students who want to participate. The entries are due Monday, October
29. This long weekend would be a good time to work on your projects.
Entering the PTA Reflections Contest counts as one of the Fantastic
Falcon Award points for sixth grade, too. However, you don't have to
win in order to count it for Fantastic Falcon.
