Reading: Words for Tuesday's test are made up of a prefix, a base word or root word, and a suffix. As you write your words four times (due on Thursday 1/17), draw a line to separate the parts.

This week's new words are:  development, information, preparation, improvement, invention, advancement, accidentally, unkindness, concentration, unskillful, respectful, prevention, regardless, repetition, disgraceful, unbelievable, disagreement, imprisonment, encouragement, intermission, precision, reputation, distinction, immeasurable, and inevitable.

The vocabulary test will be Tuesday, also. I'm sorry that I decided to read the "Speeches" on page 520, so that you could be familiar with the person being honored with a day off from school. Speech number five is Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s famous speech. Make sure that you finish reading the five speeches if you were not able to finish in 30 minutes of class.
