Language Arts: No homework tonight, unless students' essay scores on myaccess.com are low. They will need to work at home on their essays to improve their scores. The first essay, "Facing the Impossible," is due Monday morning, September 17.
The following table shows how online essay scores will transfer into grades in Skyward:
5.4/6.0 points = 90% = 90/100 points = A
4.8/6.0 points = 80% = 80/100 points = B
4.2/6.0 points = 70% = 70/100 points = C
3.6/6.0 points = 60% = 60/100 points = NI
Parents: Have your student log into myaccess.com and read to you
what they have written so far in their essay. On Monday, September 17,
students will be given a letter showing their essay scores, which they
will need to have signed by a parent/guardian and returned on Tuesday,
September 18.
