Reading: Partner read "Lost Temple of the Aztecs". After reading, students had 20 minutes to answer 7 questions, with complete sentences, putting the question into the answer. Homework if not completed, due tomorrow.

The students' next essay is based on A Christmas Carol. Students will be writing on which Christmas Spirit was the most influential in changing Scrooge's attitude toward Christmas.
Because we have just a few students who were unfamiliar with A Christmas Carol, I have been allowing them to watch it during lunch recess. Students may also research the story online to find story details to include in their essay.
Science: Grow Microorganisms Experiment/Observation Booklet due Nov. 26 (Late work will NOT be accepted.) Your experiment should be started no later than tonight. Study your science words by using the VocabularySpellingCity app. on Edmodo. Make sure that all of your assignments have been turned in to me by tomorrow. I will be sending home a progress note. Keyboarding: Students will need to have 20 minutes per week outside of school time on EduTyping. Students will be given some time in class to practice as well. Students will need 40 minutes from November 2 to 18. RC will be marked on Monday, November 19 if below 40 minutes for that window of time. In January, students will be taking a Keyboarding Assessment. They are graded on speed/accuracy and technique including: feet on the floor for balance, body centered on the "H" key with elbows at sides, sitting up straight, curved fingers over the home row keys, wrists off the keyboard, eyes on the printed copy, keys by touch with correct fingering, keys with a smooth rhythm.
